Flocculation of colloidal silica with polyacrylamide
The stability of colloidal silica in the presence of polyacrylamide has been studied by electroacoustic potential measurements and sedimentation testwork. Prior conditioning with AlCl 3 ·6H 2 0 or dodecylamine resulted in more effective action of the polymer.

Flocculation of Colloidal Silica with Hydrolyzed Aluminum
Flocculation of colloidal silica with aluminum fractal polymers was investigated by 27Al magic angle spinning and 29Si cross polarization magic angle spinning NMR as a function of aluminum concentration and pH. Aluminum flocculant species were prepared by dilution of a commercially available flocculant, WAC HB, the hydrolysis of which yields Al13 polymers.

Adsorption and flocculation behavior of cationic
The effect of ionic strength and nanoparticle structure on the adsorption and flocculation behavior has been studied for both a one-component cationic polyacrylamide system and a two-component polyacrylamide–silica nanoparticle system. The flocculation was measured both in the absence and in the presence of fine material from the fibers. 2.

Coagulation and flocculation are two main processes used to integrate colloidal particles into larger particles and are two main stages of primary water treatment. Coagulation and flocculation processes are only needed when colloidal particles are a significant part of the total suspended solid fraction.

Studied sludge samples are composed of major goethite and quartz; less clay minerals; and minor magnetite, hematite, clinochlore and todorokite. They have quite similar qualitative, but different semi-quantitative compositions. There are similar particle size distributions between the samples, and the highest contents of ~50% belongs to the finest classes of <6 μm. Among size classes

Get Price- What is anionic polyacrylamide (APAM)?
- Anionic polyacrylamide (APAM) is a hydrophilic polymer. Anionic polyacrylamide (APAM) is an easily carbonized polymer (Choi et al., 2004 ). The amide group (−CONH 3) on APAM can form hydrogen bonds with the uncondensed amine groups on the surface of g-C3 N 4 ( Schwinghammer et al., 2014 ).
- Can anionic polyacrylamide be used as a mediator in environmental remediation?
- Anionic polyacrylamide (APAM) is a hydrophilic polymer that is easily carbonized (Choi et al., 2004 ) and can potentially improve the activity of heterojunction in environmental remediation as an accessible and cheap mediator.
- What is the photocatalytic mechanism of TC degradation by C–W/N?
- The proposed photocatalytic mechanisms of TC degradation by C–W/N is described. Thin 2D/2D WO 3 /g-C 3 N 4 Step-scheme (S-scheme) heterojunction with carbon doping and bridge (C–W/N) was constructed with anionic polyacrylamide (APAM), which functioned as an assistant template and a carbon source.
- Which ternary composite has better photocatalytic activity for TC degradation?
- The obtained C–W/N ternary composite shows improved photocatalytic activity for TC degradation compared with pure g-C 3 N 4, WO 3, and other binary composites (C–W, C–N and W/N). Importantly, C–W/N also exhibits excellent photocatalytic activity for TC degradation in different initial concentration and pH value.
